Chase Ethan Edmunds

Chase was due July 4th, 2006. He came as a surprise Memorial Day May 29th, 2006. He was 5 weeks early! Chase was 6lbs 8oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He stayed in the hospital for about 10 days and then came home to us. He has been pure happiness. I am so lucky to have both Jonah and Chase in my life. What a great blessing it is to be their mother.

Happy Birthday Chase!!

Today Chase turned 2! I cannot tell you what a joy he has been. He has brought so much joy and laughter into our lives. I cannot imagine life w/out him. He had a great day! We are actually waiting until Sunday to celebrate it because Adam is out of town. We (Kara,Jonah, & I) had a mini celebration for him. I bought a little cake for him. He blew out the candles after we sang the Ellinger family birthday song. Which consists of 4 verses. A little to long for a 2 yr old, he actually blew out the candles about verse 2. But Jonah got a kick out of it.

Never mind...about living in Utah

So it's pouring down rain outside...and it is day's like these that make me wonder why am I not just living in Oregon?!!
The weather here is funny. It can be 80 degrees one day and the next a snow storm...that really happend about a month ago. Don't let anybody fool you. They say you get all the seasons in Utah. That is only correct if 3 of the seasons are winter and one of them is summer!

You need to watch the video of Joseph from Trinidad. Maybe it won't be as funny to everyone else but he was quite entertaining for us. Sorry about the angle of the camera. I tried to fix it but it didn't work. You'll just have to watch it sideways...sorry.

This is a record!

Wow, this is 2 days in a row that I am blogging. Will wonders ever cease?! But now that I am blogging I don't really have much to say. So I guess I'll just ramble a bit.
Got up this morning, went jogging. It is a beautiful day! It is days like these that help me to really appreciate Utah. I am actually really starting to like it here. Only took 8 years, but who's counting really?...uh, I am! (longest years of my life!) seriously, I am kidding. It did take me awhile, but I really do enjoy it now.
Well, Chase will turn 2 next week on the 29th. I can't hardly believe it! Jonah is 5 and funny as ever! He can also be quite exhausting. Then I suppose I probably was too. I guess it's payback time. He's a really great child though. He's an excellent big brother, and helper to mom. The exhausting part comes in that he talks and talks (wonder where he gets that from?? =)I don't think a moment of silence goes by with him around. Then he has to test everything to it's limits...literally. It does keep me busy! but it's fun.

Before we left on our cruise, Adam was putting Jonah to bed and Jonah asked, "So dad, how many day's are you going to be in paradise??".

We were on a walk. Jonah was a little bit ahead of me and he calls out, "Mom lets pet the horses!!" just as the horses owner comes up behind him. He notices and then says under his breath to me "Maybe not...I don't want Farmer Brown seeing me pet his horses."

"Maybe I should make you something to feel you better."

Here it is...I am blogging!! this may be all I get out for the next 6 months =)

Ok...so it's been a LONG time since I've posted. I am aware of my not so great blogging skills. I just don't know where the rest of the world has time to do it. Granted it hasn't been a top priority for me. Seriously though, everytime w/out fail I come to do stuff on my blog; one if not both of my children require immediate attention. It's like they are drawn to me like a magnet, and will not let up until I am no longer sitting at the computer! So there you have it. I have already shewed Chase away several times. So now I'll be a great blogger and a terrible mother! (I'm being a little dramatic). I'm sure I can balance the two somehow. I am going to update this as much as possible in the time that I have. That could be anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes. Here I go it is 4:55pm.
